This was stated by its leader, head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, closing the 3rd congress of the Unity party today.

“I was also not called to the Prosecutor General’s Office,” he emphasized. “This is such a gift for our congress, when an ordinary scheduled inspection turns into some kind of action on the verge of a show,” the minister noted. According to him, today scheduled inspections are carried out not only in the Ministry of Emergency Situations, but also in five federal departments.

Publications in the media on charges allegedly brought by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation against the Ministry of Emergency Situations and its head Sergei Shoigu are “a provocation against the Unity party,” Vice-Speaker of the State Duma, member of the political council of this party Lyubov Slizka told reporters today after the end of the party congress. “When S. Let us recall that on Friday evening some media outlets disseminated information that investigators from the Prosecutor General’s Office visited the main building of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and S. Shoigu’s office. According to the official version, this was done as part of a prosecutor’s investigation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations that began a week ago in connection with the activities of the regional centers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
