This was stated by its leader Sergei Shoigu, speaking at the 3rd congress of the Unity party in Moscow. According to him, today's parties "have turned into clubs of interests, instead of expressing the opinions of the population." “Such parties are not capable of responding to the challenges of the time, they will not be able to unite Russia and lead the country forward. Our answer is unification,” S. Shoigu noted.

“In fact, what unites our society today is hope in the president of the country. He literally cures society of depression and dissatisfaction with itself, which has been caused by the political battles of recent years,” S. Shoigu pointed out.

At the same time, he noted that Unity, which he heads, is the leading political party in Russia, enjoying the support of broad sections of the population and consolidating around itself the healthy political forces of the country. Nevertheless, according to S. Shoigu, Unity needs serious updating, the arrival of new people and the search for new forms of party work.

The leader of Fatherland, Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov called on delegates to the Unity party congress to support the call of its leader Sergei Shoigu to unite Unity, Fatherland and All Russia. According to Yu. Luzhkov, such an association “is not opportunistic, and meets the most important needs of society.”

“After 10 years of chaos, the new leadership of the country has set a course for creation, and the processes taking place in society require not conservation, but dynamics,” he said. “We support this course and must ensure its implementation,” Yu. Luzhkov emphasized.
