The president of the Boxing Federation of Lithuania was killed

In Vilnius, the President of the Boxing Federation of Lithuania Remigius Dashkevicius (Remigijus daskevicius) was found, Interfax reports. The cause of death was a gunshot wound in the chest.

According to the press service of the police department at the Lithuanian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the corpse of 33-year-old Dashkevichus was discovered late on Sunday evening in Vilnius at the Svento Valentino cafe ("Valentine").

Law enforcement agencies already have several versions of the murder of Dashkevichyus, the main of which is the version of the custom -made murder. In particular, the death of the President of the Boxing Federation could be the result of criminal showdowns due to the redistribution of the spheres of influence in the criminal world. The shot is suspected of involvement in the Kaunas criminal group.

Dashkevichus was also a member of the financial commission of the European Amateur Boxing Federation, therefore, it is quite possible that his death is associated with professional activities.
