Dear Mr. Yakimets!

Your last article , published in Russian Journal on January 3, 2002, made a very strong impression on me. Really, it’s amazing what fear can bring to a reasonable and in all respects worthy person.

Fear - will you be surprised? Exactly. What else could make a respected journalist, the editor of a very popular publication, engage in decisive shadow-boxing, publicly lose his temper over something that has not even been discussed in decent society for a long time, and generally mix God’s gift with scrambled eggs? You don’t seriously believe that the principle of “the right of preferential employment”, which “a black lesbian with mental disabilities should have,” has any relation to reality! You know very well that this is nothing more than a joke. However, remove one word from this phrase - "predominant" - and everything becomes quite serious. This, in fact, is the principle that is declared, although not always (unfortunately - not yet - but we are moving in this direction - there are already some successes) applied in practice. Because when hiring, neither gender, nor color, nor sexual orientation should be taken into account - only the compliance of the candidate’s business qualities with the necessary requirements. The fact that you yourself understand this perfectly well is clear from how you persistently try to include the mentally retarded among the “minorities” with equal rights to employment - for the sake of words this may be good, but not in reality In fact, do you equate skin color other than white with the consequences of congenital mental disabilities? (By the way, the weak-minded should certainly have equal rights; but equal rights and equal opportunities are not the same thing, don’t you think? And even more so, equalization in rights does not mean essentially equalizing “Jews, gays and idiots” , this is somehow too rude, even for RJ...)

Why so much pathos? Apparently, because “you will have to not only address the disabled as full-fledged, but also actually interact with them as equals.” This frightens you to such an extent that you decide to substitute concepts (political correctness, you will agree, is not the same as equality of people in civil rights; after all, the “democratic past” does not allow you to openly oppose equality, and political correctness to scold - for God’s sake, it’s fashionable and funny, and it seems like everyone understands everything).

And in fact, it used to be so easy! You were lucky to be born a man - by definition, you are already better than a good half of the planet’s population, and you don’t need to prove this with anything - all the evidence is there (or rather, well... okay, we won’t...). At the same time, you were lucky to be born white - write off another forty percent of the population as “inferior”. If you were lucky with parents who taught you to read books, you have practically no competitors left, and the best part is that you still didn’t have to lift a finger, you were born - that’s all your merit.

Now what about competing with almost the whole world? Prove through action that you are worth something? To whom should we prove that we are “inferior” by this? Well, bad luck... It’s scary - they gave women equal rights, but they are pushing men out of business. No, let’s rather look at Schopenhauer: “Men, not women, make money; it follows that women should neither have rights to property nor be considered the right to dispose of property at their own discretion.” So, throw yourself under the bench - we don’t need extra competitors, life is already hard. What? Do women make money as well as men? But here's Schopenhauer to your head - don't blather, inferiors! Your job is to look with adoration at the “full-fledged” one and serve him faithfully. After all, that's what it all comes down to, isn't it?

Well, in fact, just imagine, I really needed this job, and it went to that guy who is both black and blue at the same time. Don’t admit that his education is no worse, and he has more experience than me, and he knows how to behave better... Of course, it’s all the damned political correctness’s fault...

No, we need, we need clear guidelines - from now on we will consider only graduates of such and such universities, living exclusively in the territory of such and such capitals, as full-fledged people, we will deprive everyone else of the right to vote!

However, seriously, I even envy you a little - of course, it’s easier to live when you have a set of labels in stock that you stick on everyone you meet and cross, without looking at them too closely. Blacks are lazy, gays are treacherous, women are fools. Oh, how difficult it is to see in everyone a person equal to yourself. Different - but equal. Even if he doesn’t think so quickly and doesn’t speak so well. Even if he has a different value system and a different eye shape.

I only ask you one thing - still refrain from statements like: “women really cease to be women” (they give you away completely). Women stop being comfortable women for you , that’s all. Self-respecting men do not see anything special in this - they never needed slaves to assert themselves. The rest... Is it worth talking about them?

Another RJ author recently complained bitterly about the fact that on the Internet housewives, shoemakers and computer programmers allow themselves to speak about literature, but they are not allowed to speak about literature - they are only supposed to admire everything that came from the pen of a “professional writer.” Indeed, this Internet is a vile place - before you have time to write something and be happy with what you have written, you immediately receive from God knows who... Forgive me...

A ladies' revolt arose at the Forum:
The percentage of male alcoholics around the world is much higher than that of female alcoholics. Let's just take physiology: the release of sex hormones into the human body is accompanied by increased irritability, inappropriate behavior, aggression, and inability to think sensibly. So, a woman’s hormones are released once a month, and a man’s every 15-20 minutes (and politicians also wonder why there is so much evil in the world). You can compare endlessly, and in the vast majority of cases the comparison will be in favor of the woman.
They tried to suppress the riot:
On the other hand, the vast majority of women are prostitutes. The so-called female leaders of large corporations (there are only a few of them) are usually puppets of those who decide.
Someone decided to reduce everything to theory:
Politics is the art of political correctness - a surrogate for the notorious equality .
And someone - to the paradox:
Political correctness is a form of communication between people from different ghettos.
But the ladies remained inexorable:
Under Catherine, Crimea and the Black Sea region went to Russia, and our little peasant, the father of Russian democracy, lost everything for the right to drink for ten years in the Kremlin. Yes, if we women had the power, we wouldn’t even allow this drunkard to get to the vegetable warehouse.
