In the Silkovsky district of Chechnya, with the onset of dawn on Monday, investigative actions continued at the site of the fall of the Mi-8 helicopter, in which a number of high-ranking officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian army died on the eve, Interfax reports. "The place of the fall of the car is numb, a large number of examinations are carried out," said Hussein Tutuev, head of the administration of the Silkovsky district of Chechnya, said today. He clarified that the helicopter fell four kilometers from the village of Silkovskaya, in the immediate vicinity of the Mozdok -Grozny highway.

At the site of the Mi-8 helicopter disaster, 14 bodies of the dead have already been discovered. 12 of them have already been identified, reports NTV.

Among them are two generals: Mikhail Rudchenko and Nikolai Garidov, - three senior officers of the federal group: Yuri Orlenko, Maxim Eliseev and Yuri Stepanenko - as well as a security group: police lieutenant colonel Alexander Trofimenko, lieutenant Yuri Kozakov, sergeant Yevgeny Khojaev and Magomed Ovcharov. The crew members are also identified. This is the commander of the ship Alexander of the uncovered, the navigator Alexander Pestov, the sorcerer Kirill Ludanov.

The Mi-8 helicopter collapsed four kilometers from the village of Silkovskaya. The 14 people were killed on board. The Minister of Press and Information of the Government of Chechnya Konstantin Makeev said that those who were on board made "a regular working trip from Hankala to the Silkovskaya village."

A group of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, headed by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, commander in chief of the internal troops, Colonel General Vyacheslav Tikhomirov, was sent to the place of the tragedy to conduct an official investigation and establish the causes of the disaster.

Among the versions of the tragedy are two main ones √ terrorist attacks and technical. Tutuyev on the eve personally visited the place of disaster. According to him, "the car scattered into several pieces when hitting the ground", "the entire salon and the cabin of the pilot burned out." The head of the district administration noted that "the investigation does not stop at any one version of what happened."

The fact that there is no evidence that the helicopter was shot down by a rocket, was also said by Nikolai Batvin, Deputy Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in the Southern Federal District. According to him, "everything indicates that the accident occurred," ITAR-TASS reports.

The federal inspector of the apparatus of the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in the Southern Federal District Imran Vagapov also said that "facts that could indicate that the helicopter was knocked out, we do not have."

The version of the technical malfunction is now made to the fore. It follows from it that during a flight to the silk on board there was a fire, after which the explosion thundered. Today, the investigating authorities are still working at the site of disasters. Despite this, a criminal case on the death of a helicopter of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Chechnya was opened by the prosecutor's office of the Silkovsky district of the republic under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("terrorism"). This was reported to RIA Novosti on Monday in the Office of the Russian Prosecutor General in the North Caucasus. The investigation is led by Deputy Prosecutor General for the Southern Federal District Vladimir Kravchenko.

This is the second catastrophe of the Mi-8 helicopter, in which high-ranking military, serving in Chechnya, die. In September 2001, a helicopter of the federal troops was shot down by militants using a portable anti-aircraft missile system in the area of ​​Minutia Square in Grozny.

Then Major General Anatoly Pozdnyakov (the main operational department of the General Staff), Major General Pavel Bartholomeev (the Main Directorate of the Personnel of the Ministry of Defense), Colonel Igor Abramov, Yuri Makhov, Sergey Toryanik, Nikolai Lyubimsky, Igor Tibuntsov and Vladimir Talaev, were killed. Three members of the helicopter crew were also killed: crew commander, captain Vladimir Minaev, captain Oleg Cherkasov and senior lieutenant Alexander Oksakov.
