The author of the note apparently liked the film. Which is not surprising, firstly, because the film is good and because the author has a rich imagination. How else can one explain that Chris Tucker, for example, reminded him of Madonna? They look similar, in general, to the twins in the film of the same name. “Indeed, a black TV presenter dressed as a lady, followed by a bunch of helper-sycophants, cannot help but make one think of the wonderful Madonna.” She is white and not a TV presenter, but Mr. Glazychev cannot forget her.
The search for allusions is not over yet. An astute author, who decided to talk about a new film, finds in it a parody of “Titanic,” which was released six months later than “The Fifth Element.” Besson is a good director, but a director, not a visionary. Although who they are and what they are like, the author of the novel has very little idea. Leskov’s works do not resemble either Bazarov, or Raskolnikov, or living people in general. (The same thing happens in the film, where even the brilliant Elena Mayorova looks unnatural, pronouncing clumsy and mediocre text.) At the same time, there are the most implausible plot twists and psychological motivations for actions. At the same time, it is absolutely unclear with whom and why the author is fighting.
