Sheremetyevo introduces additional fees for charter flights

OJSC "Sheremetyevo International Airport" intends to levy additional commission fees from airlines for the implementation of charter flights in the spring-summer period, Interfax reports with reference to the commercial director of the airport Yuri Biryukova.

It is assumed that these fees will be aimed at improving the quality of service at the airport. However, the passengers of charter flights themselves are unlikely to feel them on themselves: Sheremetyevo, most flights intend to transfer to night time. According to Biryukov, the main departure time for them will be the interval from 23:30 to 7:30, which, of course, is not very convenient.

However, Sheremetyevo does not hold on to charter flights. Biryukov noted that in 2001, the volume of charter flights in the total volume of served at the airport amounted to 18%, and income from them - only 7%. So this year the airport headed for reducing their number.
