I read your article about hentai and decided to comment a little... In general, it was written with knowledge of the matter. ;) One feels that the author has first-hand knowledge of the immediate subject of the story. Which is good, and very good. There is some irony - there are no special objections...
Of course, such a beginning urgently requires a “but” following it. Let's not interfere with the development of style... So: But!
But, unfortunately, you successfully managed to give the article an odious character, directing the reader in the wrong direction.
First of all, the large number of factual errors concerning the “manga” itself is upsetting. (Which is especially noticeable against the backdrop of piquant details regarding hentai.) After all, anime is a derivative of manga, and not vice versa, as you write! Manga, of course, is a story in pictures, but manga’s place in Japanese culture is not at all similar to comics (rather, pulp literature). Erotica in manga and anime can be present quite legally, which does not yet translate them into the category of hentai - there are simply series aimed at different age groups, including adult audiences. (Also, the Japanese attitude towards erotica differs significantly from the typical Western one - so its presence in manga is natural.) What you think of as little girls is not necessarily that - it's just that the traditional manga style is most strongly reflected in the outline of the face. Children's facial proportions in manga do not indicate age - Japanese graphics are generally more conventional than classical art, which is prone to naturalism. (Of course, “schoolgirls” are a different matter, but we’re not talking about them.) What you take as a feature of hentai - a tendency to violence - is not a feature of hentai, but of Japanese erotic graphics in general! Anime is penetrating the American market for completely objective reasons that have little to do with hentai. “Fritz” is not a professional (in terms of erotic graphics), and in any case, his style does not relate to manga *in any way*! The hentai phenomenon is as offensive to manga as pornography is offensive to eroticism and human dignity. Where the attitude towards eroticism is healthy, there can be no pornography. Why savor it? Why cancel out a significant cultural phenomenon just because it contains some perversion? Why, finally, this presentation of details instead of analysis?
With all your talents, you, unfortunately, violated the most important rule: you need to write about a familiar subject... You cannot help but be aware that your articles influence the opinions of people: you have the power to open their eyes or mislead them . With a clear eye, you sincerely lead the reader into a quagmire... Writing about hentai without knowing the underlying layer of manga, without trying to study and compare both phenomena is a trap. The topic could give rise to an interesting study concerning the place of eroticism in society - but you limited yourself to cutesy savoring of dirty floating foam, without trying to draw deeply... Alas.

I completely agree that the article is purely descriptive. But without description there is no subject for analysis. If you look closely, now many works belong to the category of phenologist’s notes, and, unfortunately, there are not so many people capable of analysis and interpretation.

Finally, I would like to add a few words to the ongoing discussion “about fools”. Right, why destroy fools? And how do you identify them? (I completely agree with Linda Griffett). A fool is a purely subjective concept and cannot be clearly structurized. This is the Age of the Cult of Professionals, and any professional is inevitably one in a specific area - in many others he is a complete fool. A typical example is computer scientists and their eternal enemies, the foolish lamer. I would characterize the concept of a fool this way: this is a person who is extremely self-satisfied with himself and a clear opponent of other points of view.
It is also an integral feature of fools to gather in large groups of their own kind and live by the collective mind.
But God forbid somehow exterminating fools! Only out of a feeling of blind hatred? But this is also an integral feature of stupidity.
And why? Fools are a necessary condition for the existence of Non-Fools, is it really so unclear? Here is a clear example of the Orthodox Christians, who are furiously at war with a certain image of the Devil and exalting God, and the Devil is their closest ally, for if they defeat him, the image of God will decay and crumble into dust by itself..
