In Mongolia, the Order of Genghis Khan is established

In Mongolia, a new highest state award is established - "Order of Genghis Khan." Such an initiative was made by the President of Mongolia Natsagiin Bagabandi in accordance with the right granted to him by the Constitution, RIA Novosti reports.

The working group to create a new order was developed by its sketch, as well as the draft status and provisions on the award, which are now on the approval of the Parliament of Mongolia.

The new order will be the main state award of Mongolia. Unlike the established tradition, to wear the orders and medals of Mongolia on the left side of the chest, the "Order of Genghis Khan" will be worn on the Order tape on the neck. A small sign for constant wearing on clothes will be attached to it.

It is assumed that the first orders will be made and awarded on the eve of the 840th anniversary of the Grand Director General, the founder of the Unified Mongolian state of Genghis Khan, celebrated on May 3, 2002.
