Nokia is justified for defective phones

Nokia officially admitted that some of the cell phones received on the sale of its production are faulty . Experts of the DressDner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DKW) investment bank claimed that Nokia would have to exchange up to 70% of the most popular models in the near future. DKW analysts, interviewing several large European cell phone distributors, came to the conclusion that the 3310, 3330, 8210, 8310 and 8260 models are problematic. Most of them have a display in less than a month of operation. The listed models are the most popular, together they make up at least 85% of all sales of the Finnish manufacturer, the Vedomosti note.

Nokia itself claims that the problem is not at all as large and also for two months already resolved. Therefore, Nokia is not going to carry out any calls to review the phone numbers, although it promises to repair all defective phones for free.

Problems arose due to the fault of the display supplier, who was already obliged to compensate for the damage to the company. The name of the supplier of defective displays is not disclosed. The displays for Nokia supply more than 10 companies.

According to Russian distributors, about 1 million Nokia phones were sold in 2001. Nevertheless, the Russian branch believes that among Russians there were almost no buyers of defective phones. Therefore, there will also be no high -profile actions to exchange phones in our country.
