
The painting "Black Square" Casimir Malevich will be acquired by the state from the lenders of "Inkombank" at the personal funds of the head of the Interros holding company Vladimir Potanin.
According to the Echo of Moscow radio stations, a source close to the Ministry of Culture of Russia, Potanin has long been supporting in the implementation of various projects to the Hermitage Museum, which acts as an official representative of the state when buying a picture.
The decision to sell the Black Square for the state for 1 million US dollars was made on April 25 at a meeting of the Inkombank creditors committee.
