The arrival of the UN Mission to Jenin is postponed

Israel refused to cooperate with the UN mission on Sunday, which should investigate the events in Jennin. This was stated today by the head of the Israeli Foreign Ministry Shimon Peres, reports AFP. He previously noted that the Israeli authorities will not provide representatives of the UN complete freedom in choosing witnesses.

"We cannot agree with the requirement of members of the mission to independently choose which of the military they will interrogate," Perez said in an interview with the Israeli radio station, ITAR -TASS reports.

The minister emphasized that this question is the main reason for the disagreement between the Israeli leadership and the UN regarding sending the mission to the investigation of events in Jennin to the Palestinian territories.

On Sunday morning, at a meeting of the Israeli government, it was necessary to decide to give or not to give the "green street" of the Oonov mission, the arrival of which was expected in the evening. The Cabinet of Ministers eventually decided until the UN representatives into Jennin.
