The UN extended sanctions against Iraq

The UN Security Council approved significant relief in economic sanctions against Iraq in order to be able to provide this country with more humanitarian aid.

The council of 15 members decided on the most significant change in sanctions since 1996 unanimously. The vote was originally planned on Monday, but was postponed at the request of Syria, which unsuccessfully trying to make a number of amendments to the document, the Air Force reports.

The meaning of this reform is that bureaucratic obstacles to the supply of goods to Iraq are sharply reduced, which, as you know, are bought in exchange for sold by Iraq through oil intermediaries. Currently, only food and medicine entered Iraq relatively quickly.
