Carden is the owner of 24 prestigious international and French awards. In 1974, Carden became the holder of the Order of the Legion of Honor, and in 1988 - the Italian Order "For Merit" and "Holy Treasures" - the highest award of the Vatican. In 1985, Carden was elected a member of the French Academy of Fine Arts and became "immortal", as honored academicians are called in France. The master himself loves to repeat: "To become a couturier, they need to be born."

In 1986, Carden signed the first contract for the production of his collection in Russia. And in June 1991, a grandiose event took place - showing 50 models of Pierre Carden on Red Square in Moscow in front of the 200 thousandth audience.

According to the master himself, he often happens in Russia and loves our country. For many years of friendship, he is connected by him, in particular, with Maya Plisetskaya. The result of this cooperation was numerous theatrical costumes that the ballerina received as a gift from the famous fashion designer. In them, Plisetskaya danced in Anna Karenina, Chaika, Lady with a Dog.
