
The Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church (Russian Orthodox Church) established the representative office of the Moscow Patriarchate under European international organizations, ITAR-TASS reports. As already reported, the Synod meeting was held yesterday in the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, chaired by Patriarch Alexy II . As stated in the definition of the Synod, such a decision was made "in connection with the expansion of the ROC dialogue with European organizations."
The head of the representative office, which is located in Brussels, was appointed Bishop Illarion (Alfeev).
