The Barcelona court freed from custody of three of the seven young people aged 18 to 20 years old, who systematically beat disabled and helpless old people at night, shooting the scenes of beating on the video cameras, RIA Novosti reports.
The gang of "golden youth", immigrants from wealthy families, among whom was one girl, went to business at night in the Knou Barris area, as a rule, in a state of alcohol and narcotic intoxication. The police took measures against them only after one of the local residents reported what was happening.
The citizens' calm violators were about to let go, deciding that they were engaged in "innocent fun", but when they found video films with their atrocities taken on them, the Barcelona prosecutor's office qualified their actions as illegal and instituted a criminal case.
However, the court found that the arrested had no drives, at the university they received good characteristics and were in a state of alcohol and drug intoxication, which, according to Spanish legislation, was considered a mitigating circumstance.
In addition, the judge took seriously the explanations of the lawyers of the arrested, who claimed that their clients, students at the Faculty of Psychological Faculty of Barcelona University, were not engaged in sadistic hooliganism, but conducted a psychological "scientific experiment". And therefore, exactly 10 days after the arrest of the sadists, the judge decided that they could be released, since the "public indignation" on this occasion has already subsided.
In connection with this episode, experts recall that, according to sociological surveys, Spanish justice takes the last place in the ranking of state and public institutions of Spain.
