"Birch" conquered the hearts of the Mongols

With full houses, performances of Russian artists in Ulan-Bator are held as part of the days of culture of the Russian Federation in Mongolia that opened on the eve of the days of culture. “The Russians close to us in spirit came to Mongolia with songs and dances,” leading Mongolian newspapers came out with such headlines, ITAR -TASS reports.

After a 17-year break, more than 90 representatives of Russia show their art to the Mongol public. Until October 15, residents of the Mongolian capital and the city of Erdenet will see the speeches of the Jazz-Orchestra "Big-band", the Rock band "Relik", the laureates of the prize of P.I. Tchaikovsky, will get acquainted with the photo exhibition "Russia Today" and objects of Russian folk crafts.

With special impatience in Mongolia they were waiting for a “birch”, which only once performed here in the distant 1969. A lot of spectators came to the concert in the capital's Palace of Culture, all these 33 years remained fans of the famous team. “Those fantastic impressions still remain in my memory,” says one of the viewers.

And their expectations were not deceived. “Light and scenery, smooth movements of the dancers, music - all this was surprisingly combined and caused involuntary exclamations of the admiration of the audience,” the newspapers write.

With no less enthusiasm, performances and other artists met in Mongolia. And when the Relict group performed the song “Russia and Mongolia”, the audience stood up and sang words in chorus, from childhood familiar to every Mongol. At the opening of the days of Russia's culture in Mongolia, President N. Bagabandi, Minister of Education, Culture and Science A. Tsanzhid, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Mongolia O. Derkovsky, deputy minister of culture of the Russian Federation E. Molchanov were attended by the President of the Russian Culture.
