"Walking together" held a rally-lecture on the Vasilievsky descent

"Walking together" taught Muscovites a lesson in Russian history. On Thursday, the youth organization held a rally on the Vasilyevsky descent dedicated to the 390th anniversary of the liberation of the Minin and Pozharsky of the capital of Russia from Polish interventionists. Meanwhile, according to the observations of the correspondent of RIA Novosti , the members of "walking together" most needed in the history lesson.

Thus, many of the interviewed participants of the action said that Minin and Pozharsky saved Russia from the Germans, while others believed that the liberators had driven the Swedes from Moscow. The same confusion of the "walking" and with a new story - many do not even know in connection with which the day off is declared in Russia.

However, the teacher of one of the Moscow universities enlightened the youth: within 45 minutes the lecturer told the protesters about the period of the Time of Troubles, and then the activists of the organization called on the audience to "turn eyes to the historical past", to honor the memory of its heroes and "keep the images of great and courageous people in the hearts and minds."

The organizers promised after the rally to distribute the books to everyone, but only a few got brochures, the cover of which depicted portraits of Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky. The rest had to be content with the sculptural composition, to which they went to lay flowers.

On this, the "lesson of history" from "going together" ended. According to the police, up to 5 thousand people attended the event.
