A shipment of smuggled gold was discovered yesterday right in the cockpit of one of the planes that arrived in Moscow. On Wednesday night, border guards at Domodedovo Airport carried out a routine check of a plane arriving from Istanbul, and were surprised to find a large package there. Inside it was 10 kg of gold. The border guards handed over the detained cargo according to the act to the Domodedovo customs officers. The cost of jewelry will be determined during the examination. As noted by the Federal Border Guard Service, this is not the first time that they have had to deal with crews smuggling gold from Turkey. Just last week, 7 kg of precious metal was found in the pilots' possession.
