There is no flu epidemic in Russia yet

In the whole in Russia, the incidence of influenza and acute respiratory infections does not exceed epidemic thresholds. This was announced in the press service of the Department of the State Apocademnadzor.

"In the Russian Federation, as of December 1, 2002, in most cities, the incidence of influenza and acute respiratory infections is at a total of the entire population and individual age groups at the usual seasonal level without exceeding epidemic thresholds," the press service noted.

At the same time, it was noted that in some cities the epidemic threshold among children under the age of two years by 24% in Vladikavkaz was exceeded, at the age of 7-14 years-by 11% -21% in Kemerovo, Barnaul and Nizhny Novgorod.

In St. Petersburg, the threshold exceeded among children of preschool and school ages by 15%-27%. In the city of Yakutsk, epidemios are exceeded by 17% and 55% among children under 2 years of age and among schoolchildren, respectively.

These fluctuations, as reported in Gossanepidemnadzor, are not constantly in nature and are most likely associated with changes in weather conditions.
