
The State Duma approved its representatives to the National Banking Council. The NBS should include three representatives from the presidential administration, government and the State Duma, two representatives from the Federation Council, as well as the chairman of the Bank of Russia.
The other branches of the authorities have already declared their representatives in the NBS, and they even participated in the first meeting of the body - on Wednesday evening. The presidential administration in the NBS included the first deputy head of the administration Dmitry Medvedev, the presidential adviser to Andrei Illarionov and the head of the economic department of the administration Anton Danilov-Danilian. The government sent to the NBS the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Kudrin, Minister of Economic Development and Trade German Gref, the First Deputy Minister of Finance Alexei Ulyukaev. The Council of the Federation Council included the chairman of the committee on the financial market and monetary circulation Sergey Vasiliev and his deputy Gleb Fetisov. The head of the Central Bank Sergey Ignatiev became the deputy chairman of the NBS.
It was known that the State Duma of the State Duma will include the deputy chairman of the bank committee Pavel Medvedev. The remaining two members of the deputies had to choose from their ranks today. As a result, the deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Anatoly Aksakov (deputy group "People’s Deputy") and the deputy chairman of the budget committee Vladislav Reznik (unity faction) was held at the NBS.
The competence of the NBS includes, in particular, the consideration of the annual report of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the consideration of the draft main areas of the unified state monetary policy, the appointment of the chief auditor of the Bank of Russia and the auditor of the annual financial statements of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, approval on the proposal of the Book of Directors of the Buhlight and Reporting Rules for the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
