On Thursday evening, the office of the first deputy prime minister Vasily Job caught fire in the building of the Moldova Government.
According to Interfax, a source in the fire department of Moldova, a signal of fire entered the fire department at 18:25 local time. By the time of the arrival of firefighters from three windows on the fifth floor, severe smoke was falling.
The fire covered the fifth floor, where the offices of the Prime Minister and his deputies are located.
Due to carbon monoxide, which covered the entire floor, many cabinet employees could not get out of their offices.
Even before the arrival of firefighters, all employees from the five floors of the government building were evacuated to the street. The water and special tools used by fire brigades flow to the 3rd floor of the building, where the Ministry of Economics is located.
The press service of the Interfax government reported that by 19:00 local time the fire was completely extinguished.
It is assumed that the cause of the fire was a short circuit in the wiring.
The six -story building of the Cabinet of Ministers - one of the largest in Chisinau - is located in the city center. It was built in the 1960s.
