The remains of the aircraft that crashed on January 9 were discovered in Peru.

The fragments of the passenger aircraft of the Peruvian state -owned company Tans Peru, which broke up on Thursday, January 9, were discovered. As expected, the catastrophe occurred in the mountain forest area of ​​the Amazon in the north of the country - about 700 km from Lima.

The crash site was found by one of the helicopters participating in the rescue operation. There were 42 passengers and 4 crew members on board the aircraft. According to rescuers, they all died.

Fokker F-28 flew out of the capital of Peru. Having landed in Chiklayo, in the north of the country, he continued the flight towards the Amazon, to Chachapoas, 650 km north of the capital. Among the 42 passengers of the aircraft there were 7 children. In addition to the Peruvians, two Belgians appear in the list of flight participants.
