Alexander Dybal negotiates with members of the NTV board
The situation at the NTV television company remains deadlocked. Yesterday, the head of the Gazprom-Media holding, Alexander Dybal, met with members of the NTV board to discuss the situation around the company. Alexander Dybal refused to talk about the results of the negotiations and how they ended, but according to the Vremya Novostey newspaper, the parties did not reach an agreement. But judging by the fact that the parties did not comment on the content of the meeting last night, there is still hope for a compromise. Moreover, judging by unofficial comments from representatives of the NTV team, the main hopes are pinned on a meeting with the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller.
After the board of the television company expressed no confidence in the acting. General Director Nikolai Senkevich and his first deputy Alexei Zemsky, its members sent an open letter to Gazprom Chairman of the Board Alexei Miller, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Medvedev and Head of the Ministry of Press Mikhail Lesin. In this letter, among other things, they asked Alexey Miller to accept them “to resolve the current situation.”
However, so far the head of Gazprom has not accepted the invitation to talk, limiting himself to only “taking note” of the appeal. “I think Alexey Miller will definitely not come to us either today or tomorrow,” Alexey Efimov, director of the program directorate and member of the NTV board, said about the current situation. However, the television company still remains optimistic. As the Vremya Novostei newspaper correspondent was told by the management of the television company, there is currently relative calm on NTV, “the company is working according to its usual schedule.”
