Muscovites will be able to ski from the Sparrow mountains in the summer

A special pipe, in which it will be possible to ride mountain skiing all year round, is planned to be built on the Sparrow Hills in Moscow. As a source in the city administration said on Monday, a pipe, in which, using special equipment, a snow surface suitable for skiing will be created, it is planned to be built next to the metromost.

A pipe about 800 meters long, 40 meters wide and about 6 meters high will begin on the Sparrow Mountains, go along the bridge across the Moscow River and end on the territory of the Luzhniki sports complex, where the entire infrastructure will be located, including the parking lot and the inventory rental point.

The difference in the high -height of the highway will be more than 90 meters. At the same time, 1,200 people will be able to ride here, who will rise from the finish line to the start on the chair lifts, Interfax reports.

In the near future, it is planned to develop a construction project and conduct its environmental examination, find an investor. Then, the city administration believes, construction may take 1.5 years.

Probably, they will be erected jointly by Russian and foreign experts. Similar projects have already been implemented in many countries of the world, including in China, Japan, South Korea.
