Kostelich went down in the history of skiing, winning three gold and one silver medal at games in Salt Lake City. A 20-year-old skier won the competition in a giant slalom, winning the third golden Olympic medal. Kostelich became the third athlete who managed to win three gold at the same Olympics - only Jean -Claude Killy and Tony Seyler did it before her. The most amazing thing is that due to the injury of the knee, Croats missed half the last season and, according to experts, was not a favorite of the competition.

For the first time in the history of skiing, Kostelich became a winner of all Olympic competitions in which she took part. But what amazes the most is that this 20 -year -old fragile girl won all the medals of the Croatian national team at these games - three gold and one silver. And only thanks to her, the Croats occupy the 10th line in the general community medal standings, RIA Novosti reports.

Having shown the 12th result in a speed descent, she won a special slalom and went out in the first place, ahead of the overall standings of 0.06 seconds Austrian athlete Nicole Khost. Third place in the combination of Swiss Marley Oister, who lost the host of 2.14 seconds.
