Israel can send the Palestinians to Lebanon if the war with Iraq is starting

The Minister of the Interior Livan Ilyas Murr made last Monday with a tough statement to Israel.

In his opinion, in the event of a war in Iraq, Israel may take advantage of the situation to expel thousands of Palestinians from the country. This will be equivalent to the declaration of war with Lebanon, said Ilyas Murr.

Therefore, the Lebanese army, security forces and other militarized formations, like the entire Lebanese people, "will be at war to resist the possible aggression of Israel in this region."

Murr's statements were made during the inspectorate of the positions of the Lebanese Army near the Lebanon-Israeli border. During the trip, the head of the Lebanese Ministry of Internal Affairs held a meeting with the highest military ranks, at which possible measures were discussed to prevent the crossing of the border by Palestinian refugees.
