
The Dusseldorf prosecutor’s office announced on Tuesday the names of six accused in the case of illegal assignment by members of the Supervisory Board of the Mannesmann Communication Company of multi -million dollar amounts. According to the investigation, they received a total of 125 million euros as a “weekend manual” in the absorption of the company by the British communication concern Vodafone.
Among the accused are the former head of the Mannesmann concern Klaus Esser, current chairman of the board of Deutsche Bank Joseph Akkermann and the leader of the largest union of the IG Metal Metal Processing Industry Klaus Zvikkel.
According to ITAR -TASS with reference to local media, the head of Mannesmann Klaus Essera went most of all as the “compensation” - he was suspected of receiving almost 60 million German brands.
