One of the Yamadayev brothers was killed in Chechnya

On the night of March 5, Dzhabrail Yamadayev, commander of a republican OMON company, was killed in Chechnya. This is one of the Yamadayev brothers, who in 1999 helped the federal forces take Gudermes without a fight. The eldest of the brothers, Khalid, is the deputy military commandant of Chechnya and the deputy head of the Chechen branch of the United Russia party.

Yamadayev died in the explosion of a bomb planted in the house of Vedeno, where the fighters of the special company lived. The bomb was hidden in the sofa. Together with the commander, another fighter of the special company was killed, and four were injured.

Yamadayev's unit took part in a special operation to liquidate members of illegal armed groups in the Gudermes region.
