Standard time appeared with the adoption of an appropriate international agreement in 1884 in Washington. In Russia, it was actually abolished in 1930. At the same time, "summer" time appeared in the USSR, which, like "maternity leave", was introduced to "save electricity" and "the most rational use of natural light."
