The new government house in Chechnya will withstand a 9-point earthquake

The new building of the Government House in Chechnya will have increased strength. In order to protect it from demolitions like the terrorist attack on December 27, a monolithic frame will be built during the construction of the building with a seismicity calculation of 9 points. This was announced by the deputy head of the Main Directorate of Special Construction (GUSS) of the Ministry of Defense Major General Mikhail Bekovitsky. According to him, other security measures will be provided.

The foundation of the new government house was laid in Grozny on Friday. The symbolic first bucket of bloom was poured into its base, Interfax reports.

The new building will be built 100 m from the previous one. The construction will take about 100 million rubles. 100 military builders and workers from Moscow will take part in the works, 25 units of equipment will be involved.

It is planned to rent a new government house by August 1. It will be a 3-story room with a total area of ​​2900 sq m with a basement. It will be built in addition to the restored building of the Government House, destroyed with a terrorist attack.

The head of the Chechen administration Akhmat Kadyrov during the foundation laying ceremony expressed gratitude to the mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov. The new government building is being built on the initiative and at the expense of the Moscow government.
