| Energy workers forced residents of the capital of Kamchatka to toughen up
On Tuesday, March 25, a third of the capital of Kamchatka, which is more than 200 apartment buildings, were left without hot water. On this day, OJSC Kamchatskenergo tightened the regime of restrictions on heat supply to municipal utility enterprises of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. OJSC Kamchatskenergo demands that the mayor's office immediately provide a repayment schedule for receivables, the total amount of which currently reaches 1 billion rubles.
According to the deputy head of the regional energy company's sales structure, Viktor Nigmatullin, the company is ready to “go to the end, achieving full repayment of the debt for electricity.” The energy sector proved their determination a week ago by leaving the utility companies Kamchatskkommunenergo, Zhilremservice and Horizon without electricity. If the city administration does not enter into negotiations regarding the repayment of the arrears in the near future, then within a week the entire regional center will be left not only without hot water, but also without heating.
The current shutdown schedule has been agreed upon with the commission of the Vostokenergo enterprise, which represents the Far Eastern branch of RAO UES of Russia in Kamchatka. According to Kamchatskenergo General Director Yuri Delnov, due to consumer debts, the energy company does not even have the funds to purchase fuel for April. Now suppliers delivering fuel to the peninsula by sea by tankers require 100% prepayment and refuse to supply fuel oil for thermal power plants on credit.
In the current situation, residents of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky can only rely on themselves and the amazing nature of Kamchatka. Last weekend, the owners of the swimming pools located at the hot springs near the village of Paratunka made a good profit. According to eyewitnesses, it was hardly possible to find a free place in the locker room. Residents of Petropavlovsk no longer have anywhere to wash themselves cheaply. But in the locker rooms a free hot shower is provided not only before, but also after swimming in hot mineral springs. Dmitry CHERNOV, Vladivostok
