The referee of the match CSKA - Spartak Valentin Ivanov will be disqualified for two matches. Ivanov received his punishment for an unreasonable penalty in the game between the army team and Spartak, thanks to which CSKA managed to equalize the score and turn the tide of the match. The decision to disqualify Ivanov was made by a judicial expert commission, which includes five representatives of the College of Football Referees and two representatives of the Russian Premier League. In addition, Ivanov was deprived of half of the fee for servicing this match ($3 thousand) and a bonus at the end of the season.
The College of Football Referees also appealed to the control and disciplinary committee of the Premier League with a request to evaluate the statements of Spartak president Andrei Chervichenko. After the scandalous match, the club president issued a statement in which he accused Valentin Ivanov of biased refereeing by order of RFU President Vyacheslav Koloskov.
