An entrepreneur - citizen of Ukraine was killed in Moscow

In the center of Moscow, on Staraya Basmannaya Street, a citizen of Ukraine Timofey Ponomarenko was killed near the house 26.

As Interfax was informed in the capital's Central Internal Affairs Directorate, at about 0:20 Friday, an unknown criminal shot at Ponomarenko near his house on Basmann. As a result of the gunshot wounds received, he died on the spot.

The police noted that the driver Ponomarenko was seriously injured and was hospitalized in one of the city hospitals.

The criminal disappeared from the scene, it was not possible to find him in hot pursuit.

Currently, law enforcement officers are working at the scene and in the office of the company.

As noted in law enforcement agencies, judging by the nature of the execution, the murder is most likely ordered.

According to law enforcement agencies, the murdered Ponomarenko was the chairman of the board of Evrotransgaz. Law enforcement officers conducted investigative actions at the scene and in the company's office.

In turn, the leadership of the Evrotransgaz company LLC in Kyiv stated that "T. Ponomarenko killed on Friday in Moscow never had anything to do with her activities."

"Timofey Ponomarenko is not an employee, founder, business partner of Evrotransgaz LLC G. Kiev (Ukraine)," the company said.

The company "Evrotransgaz" was created in 1999 and is a member of the consolidated group of company in bulk of energy importers.

During its existence, the company managed to become one of the largest gas traders of Ukraine and bring the volume of natural gas supplies to 450 - 500 million cubic meters per month.

The main activity of Evrotransgaz is the implementation of Russian and Turkmen natural gas in Ukraine.
