
On Friday in Nice, the annual EUROPEAN PULP and Paper, organized by RISI, a large international-analytical company engaged in the world market research, took place.
The conference was attended by about 90 representatives of the global economic community interested in the development of the European pulp and paper industry - analysts, economists, financiers, bankers, representatives of investment organizations.
This year, for the first time, the Russian pulp and paper company was invited to the RISI conference. The Russian Central Bank at the conference was presented by the Chief Operational Director of the Corporation "Ilim Palp" Frank Graves. His report was devoted to the development strategy "Im PALP" in the context of existing global market trends.
As stated in the statement of the Im Palp press service, the conference participants were highly interested in the assessment of global trends in the production of cellulose and the dynamics of markets. Frank Graves made a special emphasis on the assessment of the Chinese market, in the segment of coniferous bleached cellulose of which "Im PALP" occupies 25%.
Graves announced the beginning of a new investment program for the development of its enterprises and their output to design capacities. "Over the next five years, the corporation intends to invest in the development of its largest enterprises - Kotlas Central Bank, Bratsk and Ust -Ilim LPK about $ 952 million, of which about 510 million - for the development of the Central Bank, 238 million for logging, 179 million for woodworking," he said.
