The Ostankino Tower regularly becomes the object of threats from telephone terrorists
Over the past year, the Ostankino tower was threatened to blow up several times. In March 2003, a group of two teenagers was detained in the village of Zyryanka - the district center in the east of Yakutia, who threatened to perform two terrorist acts in Moscow.
The group of public relations of the FSB management in the republic on Thursday reported that in February of this year, telephone terrorists called NTV-Plus to Moscow several times and demanded that the authorities stop the persecution of Aslan Maskhadov Akhmed Zakaev and free him. Otherwise, they threatened to blow up the Ostankino television tower and the television office.
Employees of the FSB found that threats came from two teenagers of 14 and 17 years old. The detainees have already informed the investigation that they recognized the phone numbers of the television company from newspapers. Nothing is reported about the motives of their actions.
