The policeman died a layman

Last week, the City Court put an end to the sensational case of the murder of the captain of the police “Spetsur” Yevgeny Malikov. They spoke about the custom -made nature of the murder immediately after the incident, despite the fact that the victims of unknown killers was not an official or a businessman, but a police officer. However, the killers were considered unknown to somewhere a day or two, and then one of them was detained in the market when buying heroin, exposing in parallel in the murder of a policeman. On the same day, the alleged organizer of the crime was detained, and after a few days - a possible customer. Nevertheless, the investigation stretched for even more than a year, so the verdict was sentenced only now - a year and ten months after the crime. The court acquitted the “organizer and the customer” in all respects: the hired killer turned thus into a scumbag, killing “without motives”, and the murdered captain from a “businessman in uniform” to a respectable servant. And everyone probably was satisfied.

Golden Captain
So, in order. The captain of the police department of the police Yevgeny Malikov worked at the Karelia Hotel. The special service, and more understandably, “Spetsur”, is engaged in the investigation and prevention of crimes committed by foreigners and against foreigners. Accordingly, in all good hotels, five to ten policemen of the USSM carry a shift. On the seventh of June, Malikov had a day off, but he still came to Karelia to wash his acquisition - an almost new Mazda. In the pockets of the captain, money rustled - five thousand dollars, the origin of which was subsequently not established.
When Malikov and his colleague went to the parking lot, a young man with a plastic bag in his hands ran up to them. The shot struck: the gun was hidden in the bag. Malikov fell, and his companion satellite rushed after the shooting, but soon fell behind. The TT pistol, from which the shooting was fired, and the red jacket in which the attacker was later discovered on the side of the Energetiki Avenue. Apparently, here the shooter got into the car.
There is a version that the killer was handed over to the police themselves by the customers themselves. Even police zeal, multiplied by luck, does not guarantee that the killer will be able to tie two days later after the crime. Moreover, with a set of iron evidence: such iron that the detainee preferred to immediately write a sincere confession. The amount at which Captain Malikov was estimated was also known: 3,300 dollars to the performer and the same amount to the organizer. The policeman was clearly worth the money: he owned a whole fleet of foreign cars, carried three mobile phones with him - though phones and cars were registered with dummies. It was obvious that he combines the service in the police with some other. At the same time, not forgetting about the protection of order. For example, it was possible to arrest a scarce load, complaining - completely fair - to the wrong design. To do this either free of charge - if it is insulting for the power, or when fuel from competitors of cargo owners.
It was the last promotion that was publicly or secretly attributed to Captain Malikov. Then the accusations began in completely mortal sins. A well -known criminal authority Bogachev was killed in the Karelia Hotel. In the Primorsky district there is a Monchegorsk merchant that is related to the most detained cargo. But all this remains at the level of rumors. In general, there really was something to order a policeman - this is first. And none of the colleagues of the murdered announced the disclosure of this crime by a “business of honor” - this is secondly.

Circumstantial evidence
The killer of the captain, 27-year-old Alexei Kotik, was sentenced to 12 years of maximum security. Now, without fear, we call his last name, because we are sure that the sentence will not appeal. Get just a “dozen” for the murder of a policeman - in the stagnant years it would be nonsense. True, the case was initiated, investigated and transferred to court, preserving the 105th on the cover, and not the 317th article. The first punishes for a simple murder. The second is for an encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer. The cat said that he did not know who was his victim: he thought that a simple hotel guard. It is like the truth.
The version of the investigation, which the prosecutor adhered to the last day of the process, looked like this: entrepreneur Nikolai Vasendin, to whom Malikov actively interfered with doing business, ordered him to his two friends - Gnutov and Kotik. The cat arrived at the hotel in the Vasyendin car (he used it by proxy). Standing on the Piglet in front of Karelia, the cat waited for a call to the mobile: “The object comes out”, prepared a gun and ... then, when the shots were already sounded, he took the oppressed the cat from the crime scene on his “nine”.
Three evidence indicated the custom nature of the murder. Firstly, two thousand dollars discovered in the Kotik’s apartment: where did the drug addict come from? Secondly, printouts from Vasendin's mobile phones. One number, designed not for an entrepreneur, but on someone else, kept the number of Kotik and Gnutov in his memory. The second was registered with Vasyendin himself and clearly showed that at the time of the murder of Malikov, the tube was in the radius of the very honeycomb, which serves Tukhachevsky Avenue, where Karelia is located. That is, its owner was somewhere nearby. The third evidence is the car on which the cat drove, and before that Vasendin. Without direct evidence, three indirect ones looked, of course, very sorry. Moreover, Vasendin was introduced by Alibi - he really was on the day of the murder of Malikov in Karelia - but not in the hotel, but in the same autonomous region that two witnesses were able to confirm.
No one was surprised when the judge announced: "Gnutov and Vasyendin to justify and free from the custody immediately in the courtroom." And then he added: “So, quickly take your clothes and approach such and such an office.” Probably for passports ...

For glass
There was only the youngest of the three defendants behind bars. By the way, he looked much more vigorous than two acquitted comrades in misfortune. The verdict of the court testified that the struggle between Kotik and Malikov was conducted for a long time and not for life, but for death. First, the captain cut the cat when he tried to take out the side glass from someone's car. Captain Malikov, who was present at the parking lot, stopped the theft and even beat the unlucky thief a little. Alexey Kotik hid a grudge against the zealous captain and, when he suddenly met him at the hotel, he released two bullets in his head. He bought a TT pistol shortly before from an unidentified person for self -defense.
A typical murder on the basis of hostile relations. Unlike custom - lifelong conclusion is not punishable. Thus, in St. Petersburg, one killer has become less. And one honest fundamental policeman is more. The second, however, regained this title posthumously.
