At the same time, the Pakistani police managed to prevent a large terrorist attack by neutralizing a powerful explosive structure in the city of Banna in the northwestern border province, ITAR-TASS reports.

In the official statement of law enforcement agencies published today, it is reported that a home -made bomb weighing 5 kg with an advanced clock mechanism was found in a car parked at the local hotel three hours before the explosion.

According to the leadership of the local police, the explosion of a mined machine in this overpopulated area of ​​the city could lead to large human victims and significant destruction. The police believe that an attempt to carry out a terrorist attack is associated with the rivalry of local criminal groups and rejected the possibility of involvement in it of large extremist organizations.

An investigation of the incident and the search for the organizers of the attack has begun.
