Parisians went out into the street against the reform of the pension system

The mass demonstration of protest against the government project of the pension reform took place on Sunday in the French capital, RIA Novosti reports. According to law enforcement agencies, approximately 300 thousand people took part in the manifestations. The organizers of the protest rally call twice as many demonstrators.

The manifestation was carried out on the initiative of the leading professional centers of France, in the support of which a number of left -wing political parties, including socialists and "green".

The holding of such a large -scale protest was accompanied by reinforced security measures and led to tangible interference for the movement of public and personal vehicles. Any serious incidents during the demonstration are not reported.

The manifestation took place under the slogans of the revision of the draft pension reform proposed by the legal office of Jean-Pierre Raffaren. This project provides for an increase in the work experience necessary for obtaining a full -fledged pension, as well as a change in the procedure for calculating and indexing pensions.

Despite the pressure from the street, the government does not yet intend to make serious concessions, although it declares readiness for dialogue with trade unions. In response, the professional centers made a call to hold a series of strikes in the sectors of the public sector.
