Deer pastures burn in Kamchatka. Fire area - more than 2.5 thousand hectares

A large fire is raging in the Tigilsky district of the Koryak Autonomous Okrug / KAO / in Kamchatka. In the area of ​​the village of Verkhnyaya Khairyuzovo, from 2.5 to 3 thousand hectares of deer pastures and cedar stlanika, which will take more than 30 years, are burning. This was announced today by ITAR-TASS, the head of the fire department of the district Vasily Abaev.

According to him, due to the lack of funds, the fight against natural fire is not conducted. There is also no way to establish the exact area of ​​land covered by the flame - in the district the service of the aircraft guns of forests is abolished.

The Office for Civil Defense and Emergencies of KAO reported that on Monday only a helicopter would be sent to the fire area to clarify the scope of the distress.
