Earlier, 5 km south of the Tolstoy-Yurt district center, militants fired at the mobile group of the regiment of private security, which carries the oil pipeline protection service. The police did not suffer, but the militants managed to hide, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic reported.

In addition, according to the ministry, on one of the oil pipelines, an inspection was discovered, from which, according to preliminary data, the criminals managed to steal 103 tons of oil, Interfax reports.

Measures are taken to establish and detain the perpetrators. The Grozneftegaz "believes that the outputs of bandits are aimed at intimidating the employees of this association, as well as the protection and force them to abandon tough measures to protect the oil pipeline facilities.

According to law enforcement agencies of the republic, mining from the sale of stolen oil products remains the main source of financing of illegal armed groups.
