| You can communicate with referees, but not with CSKA players In the last round of the Russian Championship, CSKA again lost points, which happens to the championship leaders more and more often. But again, competitors failed to take full advantage of this. “Saturn” played a draw with “Rubin”, and “Dynamo” could not win against “Lokomotiv”, although they really wanted to. True, match referee Shaveiko wanted Dynamo to win no less, seeing a penalty in favor of the hosts, which was even difficult to come up with. And while the leading leaders slowed down, the modest “Shinnik” crept into second place, which, after an incomprehensible start, they hastened to write down, at best, in the middle peasants of the championship.
For the second week now, Russian referees have been in the status of “dead”. According to the decision of the Russian Premier League, it is allowed to speak about them either well or nothing - those who are guilty will face a fine of 30 thousand rubles each time. In addition, the scores given to referees by inspectors are kept secret, and it is also hidden until the last moment which team of referees will officiate at a particular match.
As the head of the judiciary, Nikolai Levnikov, explained, this was done so that additional pressure was not put on the referees. Allegedly, fans, finding out who will be refereeing, look for the referees’ phone numbers and call them with threats. But at the same time, the RFPL released a telephone directory with a circulation of 2,000 copies, in which, in addition to the numbers of the top officials of all 16 clubs, the RFU and the RFPL, there are coordinates of the leadership of the refereeing corps, including mobile and home ones. This “fan reference book” is available for free sale and costs 171 rubles. So fans don't even have to wait for one of the angry coaches or players to donate a thousand dollars to the fine and express their general opinion about the refereeing. Now any fan, having this directory, can call the referees with best wishes for success in their work.
Against the backdrop of this rampant democracy and freedom of speech, the Moscow army men behaved like real professionals. The concept of “military secret” is not an empty phrase for them, and the entire team, led by mentor Valery Gazzaev, unanimously refused to communicate with the press. Moreover, after losing the match to Torpedo with a score of 2:3, it was a sin for the CSKA players to complain about the refereeing, which means that the risk of running into a fine was minimal. Referee Baskakov awarded a very funny penalty to the Torpedo team, and army player Popov assisted him in this. The forward wanted to hit the ball so much that he hit his foot on the lawn and fell over as if knocked down. However, in the second half, Baskakov corrected himself and repaid Torpedo’s debts, awarding an equally controversial penalty in their favor.
Zenit and Krylia Sovetov were also pleased with their performance. The day before the 50th birthday of Czech coach Vlastimil Peterzhela, the St. Petersburg football players wanted to give a gift to their mentor. But, having led with a score of 2:0, they started celebrating too early and conceded two return goals.
Spartak-Alania and Torpedo-Metallurg are moving further and further away from the saving 13th place. Both clubs have already tried all known means - they fired coaches, bought new players - but this does not bring results. And now even Uralan, which recently kept them company at the bottom of the standings, can feel quite confident. After winning against the Vladikavkaz team, who, after four crazy victories at the start, lost everything they could and couldn’t, Igor Shalimov’s team climbed all the way to 12th place, ahead of even Chernomorets in terms of goal difference.
