US allowed Jordan to shelter Saddam's daughters

The United States agreed to the provision of asylum to relatives of Saddam Hussein, based on humanitarian reasons. This was written on Saturday by the Saudi newspaper "Ash Shark Al-Ausat", citing informed sources in Aman.

The publication reports that the senior daughters of the ex-president of Iraq, 36-year-old Ragad and a 34-year-old wound, arrived with nine children to the Jordanian capital on Thursday on a private plane from Damascus, and not from the Emirates, as previously reported.

They were met by the sister of King Princess Aisha al-Hussein. Hussein's relatives settled in the Royal Palace. Later, the wife of the overthrown President of Saje Haralla and his youngest daughter of Chala, who are now in Damascus, should join them.

Ragada spoke on Friday on the al-Arabia satellite channel, saying that after the fall of Baghdad, the relatives of Hussein lived together, but then dispersed. She accused Hussein’s closest encirclement of betrayal, which led to a swift collapse of regime.

The sons of Hussein of the Ventia and Kusai were killed on July 22 in a battle with American units in the city of Mosul in the north of Iraq. Ragad and the wound through intermediaries turned to the American authorities with a request to give their bodies for burial according to Muslim customs.
