The first Volkswagen was collected in Ukraine

Ukrainian CJSC Eurocar from Friday began to produce Volkswagen cars. The collected batch of BORA will go for certification - and it will be evaluated not only in Ukraine, but also in Germany, reports AK&M .

Today, CJSC "Eurocar" has begun serial assembly of Volkswagen Passat cars. This event was preceded by the certification of this model in state bodies of standardization and certification of Ukraine, as well as the release of an experimental batch of cars that went through quality control at Volkswagen.

It is assumed that further for VW Passat and VW Bora, Golf and Polo models will be introduced into production.

The VW brand car is implemented according to the memorandum, which was signed by Eurocar CJSC and the VW Group concern on April 10, 2003. The assembly of Volkswagen cars was started at the plant in July 2003.

Recall also that CJSC Eurocar will continue the assembly at its Skoda car factory, the production of which began here in April 2002. In the first year of its existence, this enterprise produced 3315 cars. None of these cars went outside Ukraine. Volkswagen models are also not designed for export.

In total, according to the results of this year, the company plans to produce 1020 Volkswagen cars.
