At least three people died as a result of an explosion that destroyed a residential building in the Spanish city of Seville, Reuters reports.

"According to the latest data, 3 people died as a result of the explosion and 33 were injured. All of them were delivered to a local hospital," said a representative of the local administration.

Two wounded are in serious condition.

A married couple died from the explosion. They were the neighbors of an attacker who also died.

The apartment of the 72-year-old attacker was located on the second floor. The explosion was destroyed by the carrier wall, after which the floors of the building could not stand it and it literally developed inside.

The third and fourth floor of the building are completely destroyed.

About 20 rescue services and 60 police officers work on ruins.
