With maneuver at the airport of Irkutsk, Tu-154 went outside the runway

At the airport of Irkutsk on Wednesday, the Tu-154 passenger aircraft Siberia Airlines, taxiing before flying to the runway, went beyond it. There are no victims, reports Interfax.

The aircraft when executing the Novosibirsk -Irkutsk -Vladivostok flight made a regular landing at the Irkutsk airport, the Siberian press release reported.

When the airliner headed for the runway to continue the flight, the front stand of the chassis, he rolled out onto the ground strip beyond the end of the runway.

There were 138 passengers on board the aircraft, of which 51 people followed Irkutsk, as well as 9 crew members. None of them were injured. The liner also did not get any damage.

After the incident, all the passengers from the aircraft were planted, and the car was towed to the parking lot. Passengers following Vladivostok, three hours later were sent to the destination with a backup plane.

Currently, a commission has begun work, which included representatives of the East Siberian Air Transport Department and Siberia Airlines. The commission will analyze the data of the on -board recorders and give an assessment of the crew’s actions.

According to preliminary data, the reason for the incident could be ineffective braking in conditions of limited length of the strip. The length of the runway at the Irkutsk airport is 2,750 meters. However, at present, due to repair work, the length of the runway is 2,570 meters.
