| Celebrating Cinema Day at Pushkinsky caused a feeling of awkwardness Something went wrong from the very beginning. Prime Minister Kasyanov was supposed to congratulate the filmmakers, but he was not there. They did wait a long time for someone, perhaps Minister Shvydkoy with a greeting from President Putin. We started an hour late. The presenters Natalya Egorova and Sergei Shakurov were confused in the script. The film crew and an irritated Stanislav Govorukhin took the stage and said that there had never been a more stupid premiere in his life. Some of the actors who starred in the film - just those that are known: Inna Churikova, Irina Kupchenko, Alexander Mikhailov - did not appear at the celebration, the leading actor Alexander Baluev, without waiting for the start, left for the performance. Gifts from sponsors were presented in an atmosphere of confusion and unhealthy excitement in the hall. The audience received particular pleasure from the offering of products for cleansing the skin from the inside and an invitation to a beauty salon to create a fashionable hairstyle, handed to Govorukhin, who was scratching his bare skull in bewilderment.
Why the announced and widely publicized holiday turned out to be an absurd, unprepared event, for which the organizers should have burned with shame, is the first question.
Second: why did officials choose Govorukhin’s film from 90 specially printed copies for the national premiere, held at state expense in 50 regions? So that the older generation, yearning for the aesthetics of Soviet art from the time of “Officers”, will finally go to cinema? But they go to free shows, and prefer TV to all other entertainment. “Bless the Woman” is an ideal film for a holiday screening on March 8, on the Rossiya channel at 18.00. This picture, which incorporates all the stilted cliches of Soviet cinema, is not suitable for consumption in any other form.
The third question: why is public money, hardly allocated from the budget of our extremely poor state, spent in a deliberately ridiculous and ineffective way?
