Calendar plan for elections

At yesterday's meeting of the Central Election Commission, a calendar plan of activities for the preparation and holding of parliamentary elections was approved. By September 17, 225 district election commissions should be formed. In 39 districts, the boundaries of which coincide with the borders of the subject of the federation, the powers of district election commissions will be given to regional election commissions. No later than October 9, territorial election commissions will be formed. By October 7, municipal authorities will submit information about voters to territorial election commissions. These lists will be finalized by December 6th.

By October 17, polling stations will be formed throughout the country. In exceptional cases (when it comes to military units located in remote areas), the district election commission may wait to form polling stations until December 1.

You can start collecting signatures in support of a candidate or party now. From September 22 to October 22, single-mandate candidates and parties will bring registration documents to district election commissions. 10 days after receiving them, the commissions will make a decision on registration. Until December 1, parties can recall their federal lists or individual representatives of these lists. Candidates from parties and blocs may refuse to participate in elections no later than December 1-5, and single-mandate candidates no later than December 3-5.

Until November 4, a draw will take place to distribute free airtime for campaigning on television and free newspaper space among the candidates. The campaign period in the media will begin on November 7 and end at midnight on December 6.
