Three children and three kindergarten employees were taken hostage yesterday in the regional center of Magdagachi, Amur Region, by a local resident armed with a knife. According to the regional police department, on Monday at about 2 p.m. in the Solnyshko kindergarten, 28-year-old Stanislav Tereshkov grabbed three boys under the age of four and two teachers and brought them to the office of the head of the kindergarten. Putting a knife to the manager's throat, the young terrorist demanded that the door be locked and declared everyone - three adults and three children - hostages.
As the detectives found out, Tereshkov, who had previously been convicted twice, entered the kindergarten building without hindrance, since his daughter is also a pupil of this kindergarten. For the release of the hostages from the arriving policemen, Tereshkov demanded 100 thousand rubles, drugs, vodka, body armor, a Makarov pistol and a UAZ car. All the children who were in the garden at the time of the incident - there were about 50 of them - were evacuated, and among them was the daughter of the criminal himself.
The negotiations lasted more than three hours, and during this time two of the six hostages were released. And after the criminal tried to stab one of the nurses, a decision was made to storm the building. The capture group broke into the room with the hostages through windows and doors and successfully neutralized the bandit. He was shot in the arms and legs, and the criminal was taken to the surgical department of the district hospital. None of the hostages were injured during the assault.
According to preliminary data from the investigation that opened a criminal case against Tereshkov, he was intoxicated. In addition, the terrorist’s body was entangled in wires, but detectives did not find any explosive devices on him. What exactly prompted Tereshkov to do such an act was not yet clear yesterday.
