On Wednesday, the Championship of the Russian Hockey Super League begins. On the one hand, it cannot but rejoice that many cool legionnaires appeared in the championship. But at the same time, young hockey players continue to break into the NHL, and Russian hockey gets those in whom the ocean does not need.
However, first about the championship itself. One of the main events of the first round will be the game in Yaroslavl between the current Lokomotiv champion and the Moscow Dynamo, who very successfully held control matches in the off -season, having won 11 victories with one defeat and one draw. As a percentage of Dynamo showed the highest result in the offseason - 87 percent.
Lokomotiv enters the new season with a new mentor. Instead of the Czech Vladimir Vuytek, who brought the team to gold medals twice in a row, there will now be Vladimir Yurzinov Jr. on the coaching bridge of the Yaroslavl. He has a difficult task to preserve high positions already won by his predecessor.
The new Vuyteki club - Kazan "Ak Bars" - in the first round will examine the metropolitan army, who solidly strengthen their composition in the summer. CSKA was replenished with one of the best openers of Super League Andrei Razin, the champion of the country Yuri Butsaev, experienced goalkeeper Maxim Mikhailovsky, three Czech defenders and a number of decent players.
However, Kazan people worked well in the transfer market. In return for the NHL, Sergei Zinoviev, Irji Gudler, Alexander Korolyuk and Anton Babchuk "Ak Bars" invited the ex-Armitan Alexander Drozdetsky, the Latvian goalkeeper Peter Skudra and Dmitry Bykov. Moreover, the struggle for the two last Kazan won the same NHL, RIA Novosti notes.
It should be noted that the current owner of the Stanley Cup Oleg Tverdovsky appeared in the Super League, who could not negotiate with New Jersey Devils "on the new contract, and chose to go to the Avangard. In addition, rather strong legionnaires from European clubs come to Russia. And even NHL stars do not exclude their move from behind the ocean. So, the Czech striker Jaromir Yagr from Washington Capitals said that he could well play for some time in Russia if the strongest League of the world could not avoid a locaut.
As for the coaching workshop, in addition to the transition of Vuyteck to Ak Bars, it is worth noting the appearance of Sergey Gerson, who changed the eminent Ivan Glinka, who did not achieve significant successes in Russia. And Magnitogorsk "Metallurg" entrusted the coaching post with another Czech - Marek Sikore.
All the hype, inflated in the press about the arrival of so many legionnaires to Russia, aims to attract spectators to the stands. Of course, journalists act correctly, calling the name of the hockey player, but not saying that this player has behind his back. Thus, the arrival of Tverdovsky to Russia was advertised, only as the victory of the Russian hockey, who acquired the player of the Devilz championship team.
In fact, Tverdovsky simply did not arrange the coach of the "devils" of Pat Burns and did not fit into his tactical schemes. Playing the Anaheim, Tverdovsky was a good attacking defender, for which his salary only increased. In New Jersey, there were plenty of such players, and having entered the market of free agents, Tverdovsky simply could not conclude a contract because of his high salary in the former club.
Meanwhile, Russian hockey is struggling to keep young players, such as Zherdev and Ovechkin. Zherdev almost became a player in Columbus already this season, and the story with Ovechkin in the draft of this year, also talks about the imminent departure of this young and promising player.
Thus, the Russian Super League appears in front of the audience a house with a beautiful facade, where balconies hold the sculptures of heroes in helmets and with clubs, but, going inside, you can see the interior requiring major repairs.
